Welcome Thumb Area Writers!

Welcome all to the Thumb Area Writers Group site. We hope to unite people across the Thumb of Michigan for a common purpose: their passion for writing.

Whether you are writing a short story or pursuing that long fantasy novel, or are a first-time writer or a veteran of many works, we welcome you to this group. The more the merrier they say and having a group of individuals who shares your ambitions (whether it is to be traditionally published or self-published) can only refine your writing to the very best it can be.

We plan to meet monthly (details TBA). If you cannot attend a meeting, that's OKAY! We understand that real-life happens. That said, we encourage you to attend, as the meet ups are FREE. Maybe there will even be snacks (no promises).

What should you bring? I'm glad you asked:

• Bring a copy (physical or digital) of any Work-In-Progress or completed manuscript. If you don't have either of these (maybe you are just in the IDEA) stage, that's okay too!

• If you desire, a notebook or writing utensil.

• A collaborative mind: remember, no one here is looking to cut anyone down. We just simply want your work to be the best that it can be.
